The Arc’s Soft Play is an excellent and very popular space for all children up to the age of about 11. Following the recent refurbishment of the Soft Play area at the Arc, we can now boast a great area for children to burn off their excess energy in a safe and secure environment.
The Soft Play area is large enough for many children to run around safely and small enough to enable parents to keep a watchful eye on their children whilst they enjoy a coffee. The Soft Play comprises two slides of different sizes, rope bridges, web-deck climbs and hanging snake and crash panel obstacles. We also have a dedicated baby area, which includes puzzles, mirrors, a rocking ride-on-rabbit and also plenty of crawl and climb areas for the smaller visitors. This is an area strictly for the under twos and all children are required to have adult supervision. The Arc has Soft Play rules on display which we expect all visitors to adhere to - found under policies.
Soft Play has a café which caters for most dietary requirements and is open from 9.30am until 4pm serving hot and cold meals along with standard snacks and soft drinks.
In response to COVID-19 the Arc has made some vital changes to Soft Play procedures. First of all entrance is limited to under 70 people (children and adults) on a pre booking basis. We have also introduced daytime cleaning policies. Weekdays we are closed at 1pm for a thorough clean of the play areas tables and toilet areas and at the weekend we close for the same comprehensive cleaning routine every 90 minutes. We also impose a two metre social distancing rule which we ask our visitors to adhere to. We take contact details for track and trace purposes. The standard government face mask rules also apply.
